Hawaii Employers Council Training Available (fees may apply) – via ESS

Take advantage of RCUH HR’s membership to access HEC (Hawaii Employers Council) training and workshops for management level personnel or those with management potential. Workshops include the Fundamentals of Supervision, HR Administration, and Management Development. Seminars focus on communication, leadership, HR management and safety.

Upcoming Trainings:

  • Jan 11: Avoiding Sexual and Other Harassment Claims (Oahu) – 9am-11:30am

Understand the roles, responsibilities and potential liabilities of supervisors in claims of sexual and other harassment. This class helps participants learn how to understand, identify, prevent, and resolve claims of unlawful workplace harassment – all with the overall goal of keeping your company out of trouble.

  • Jan 12: What to Expect in the 2017 Legislative Session (Free Webinar) – 9am – 10:30am

The 2017 legislative session is just around the corner.  There are several factors indicating that 2017 could be a busy year for legislative activity in Hawaii, including the fact that we have a new President whose initiatives may have a trickle-down effect on state legislation, there is some “unfinished business” from the past couple of legislative sessions, and 2017 is a non-election year.

  • Jan 18: Investigating and Addressing Misconduct (Oahu) – 1pm-3:30pm

In this session, participants will concentrate on conducting a proper, thorough investigation. Learn how to appropriately document the investigation findings, particularly in cases of alleged misconduct (on-duty and off-duty), sexual harassment, and other performance problem areas.

RCUH has a limited numbers of registrations for each training so you must register through RCUH HR Employee Self Service (ESS) prior to actually registering for the course. Most registrations cost around $50 and will not be covered by RCUH HR.

We will post trainings in ESS several weeks in advance to the HR News section. Please allow for up to five business days for us to process your request. If you are unable to register via ESS or have questions, please feel free to contact Tana Staub at 956-7055 or [email protected].
