The Human Resources Portal allows the project to hire and manage your RCUH employees. The Principal Investigator (PI) is ultimately responsible for the program/project’s operation and financial management and certifies the accuracy of all transactions submitted to RCUH. HR Portal authority can be delegated to other users within your Distribution Code (DC).
Contact [email protected] for assistance with the HR Portal.
There are different hiring options through RCUH you may select based on your project’s operational needs. This includes recruited Regular-status hires and non-recruited hires (i.e., temporary, student, and intermittent), who do not need to go through the recruitment process. Refer to Policy 3.210 Hiring Options through RCUH and Policy 3.510 Fringe Benefits for eligible positions.

If any changes need to be made to an employee’s status, most requests can be submitted in the HR Portal, but if you have any questions, please contact [email protected]. Refer to our Personnel Action & Payroll Calendar for important deadlines.
To add the RCUH ePAF and Payroll Deadlines to your own calendar, please use the links below. You may adjust these deadlines to reflect your project's internal deadlines as needed.
All Regular-status employees must receive a performance evaluation from their PI or designee from the start of a new job, completion of probationary period or annual cycle, or due to work performance issues. Performance evaluations determine continuation of employment, justify personnel actions, and set clear expectations for employees based on their job requirements. Refer to Policy 3.410 RCUH 12-Month/Needs-Based Performance Evaluations and Policy 3.360 RCUH Performance-Based Compensation.
Report all work-related injuries to the RCUH HR Office within 24 hours of its occurrence. RCUH employees are responsible for reporting all work-related injuries to the PI or designee and may return to work at full duty only upon the treating physician’s written authorization. Refer to Policy 3.580 RCUH Workers’ Compensation.
Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and compliance with applicable Federal/State laws. Refer to Policy 3.285 RCUH Termination of Employment.
