O‘AHU CLOSURES
- RCUH’s Office and all University of Hawaiʻi campuses and State Offices on Oʻahu will be closed on Friday, March 20 due to severe weather conditions.
- Please check roadway conditions (as best you can) between your current location and home before departing your work location as it may be better to shelter in place while conditions improve.
ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE
- Gov. Josh Green announced the statewide suspension of non-essential State services on Friday. Employees who have not been directed to work will be authorized Administrative Leave on Friday, March 20, 2026. Departmental Disaster/Emergency Coordinators, Disaster Response Workers, and Employees whose work involves continuing crucial operations/services should check with their supervisors regarding whether they are required to report to work. See below for clarification:
- Employees who work on Friday, March 20, 2026 shall not be granted equivalent time off at a later date.
- Employees who are on approved leave (including sick leave or vacation leave) or are on their scheduled day off shall not be granted equivalent time off at a later date.
- Hourly paid employees scheduled to work shall not be entitled to administrative leave and should not report to or remain at work except for employees who are designated to report to or remain at work.
