RCUH Financial Portal purchasing, payment, and travel transactions must be approved by Fiscal Administrators by 12:00 noon on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 to be included in FY 2026. The last check run for the fiscal year will be on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Pending transactions will remain in the RCUH Financial Portal and will not be deleted or disapproved by any system automation.
From June 30, 2026, 12:00 noon through July 5, 2026 online purchasing, payment, and travel transactions can be created, but Fiscal Administrators will not have the ability to approve transactions in the Financial Portal. Also, during this period vendor records cannot be created or modified in the Financial Portal. On an emergency basis only, manual checks can be issued during this period. Fiscal Administrators should contact RCUH Disbursing at [email protected] to request a manual check. The RCUH financial system is scheduled to reopen for FY 2027 on Monday, July 6. The first check run for FY 2027 is scheduled for Monday, July 6, 2026 at 4:00 PM.
From June 30, 2026 through July 5, 2026, project reports will be accessible on the Financial Portal. However, report balances will only reflect transactions posted through June 30, 2026, until the RCUH financial system reopens and transaction processing resumes on July 6, 2026.
It was previously announced that the University of Hawaii would be undergoing a system conversion of the Kuali Financial System (“KFS”) to Kuali Cloud (“eKFS”) in July 2026. However, the eKFS conversion has been postponed to a date yet to be determined. KFS is scheduled to reopen on July 7, 2026. Until KFS is opened and opening balances are loaded into KFS for fiscal year 2027, UH Project Fiscal Reports in the Financial Portal may reflect incorrect amounts and balances. During this period, please use the RCUH Financial Portal – UH Project Fiscal Reports – Mass Printing Monthly Reports functionality to access monthly project reports as of June 2026 and earlier.
In addition, when KFS is opened for fiscal year 2027 (scheduled for July 7, 2026), Fiscal Administrators for UH Extramural accounts may encounter an “insufficient funds” error message if they attempt to approve an online purchasing, payment, or travel transaction in the RCUH Financial Portal. Fiscal Administrators may not be able to approve online transactions for UH Extramural accounts in the Financial Portal until opening balances for fiscal year 2027 are loaded into KFS and transmitted to the RCUH financial system. Please plan accordingly.
