NOTICE TO NONIMMIGRANT EMPLOYEES – U.S. CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION (CBP) I-94 AUTOMATION

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced that effective April 30, 2013 the Form I-94 will be automated.  CBP will phase-in the Form I-94 automation at air and sea ports through April and May (Honolulu airport will be in Week 3 of the phase-in, week of May 14, 2013).  Nonimmigrants will continue to receive the paper Form I-94 until the automated process arrives at their port of entry.

 

Under the I-94 automation, nonimmigrants will be provided with a CBP admission stamp on their travel document (passport).  If the individual needs a copy of their I-94 (record of admission) for verification of alien registration, immigration status, or employment authorization, it can be obtain from www.cbp.gov/I94.  Please note that this website will not be active until April 30, 2013.
