Important Notice: HMSA Medical Insurance Issues with RCUH Enrollment File

UPDATE 6/16/2026:

Due to an HMSA processing error of our July 2026 Open Enrollment file, some employees and their dependents were erroneously end-dated from coverage effective May 31, 2026 instead of the correct date of June 30, 2026. As a result, HMSA mailed an incorrect letter on June 15, 2026 stating that affected individual's coverage ends on May 31, 2026.

Please rest assured that this issue has been fully corrected and that June 2026 coverage remains active for the affected individuals. HMSA members should not experience any issues when seeking care or filling prescriptions, and be able to check their HMSA MyAccount portal and see their coverage reflected accurately. HMSA will be sending corrected letters to the affected individuals confirming that their coverage ends on June 30. 2026 as well as an apology letter for the error.
