RCUH Human Resources has been made aware that some of our retirees enrolled in the HMSA Akamai Advantage plan may have received communications from The Queens' Health System and HMSA regarding a new plan known as the "HMSA Akamai Advantage Select Plus HMO". Please note that these communications do not apply to RCUH retirees and can be disregarded.

RCUH will continue to offer the HMSA Akamai Advantage PPO plan. Please be assured that no action is required for retirees who are currently enrolled to maintain their existing coverage. RCUH Human Resources will remain the official source for all information related to RCUH retiree health benefits and will clearly notify retirees should there be any changes or action required.

In the coming months, RCUH HR will contact retirees to provide updated health insurance premiums for the January 1, 2027 - June 30, 2027 coverage period. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact the RCUH Employee Benefits team.

Thank you,

RCUH Human Resources
