Vacation Leave: Use It or Lose It

Paid time off was ranked one of the top 5 benefits that employees want from their employers. Yet each year, more than half of Americans continue to forfeit their vacation leave. Workers might feel guilty or have workplace pressures and end up not taking their vacation leave. You earned those paid days off, so unplug and unwind to reap the full benefits!

Did You Know? An eligible employee may earn up to 21 days of vacation in a plan year! That's 168 hours for a full-time employee (100% FTE)!

All vacation hours exceeding the maximum carry-over of an employee’s applicable vacation plan will be forfeited on December 31st of the plan year. See 3.620 RCUH Vacation Leave Policy.
